Capacity Building for Aid Coordination
Project description
The project provides direct assistance to the Secretariat for European Affairs and several line ministries to further improve the coordinaton of external assistance.
Objectives
The main objective of the project is to consolidate the national development assistance coordination system, implementing a Programme Based Approach and introducing the practice of monitoring indicators on aid effectiveness.
Results
An efficient national institutional structure is being created, together with a network of highly professional and trained employees, who are working on long term strategic planning.
The project supported the upgrading of the existing Central Donor Assistance Database and Development Assistance portal, which now provides a better overview of the development assistance in the country.
The project has gelped ensure greater aid effectiveness an meeting the global principles of the Paris Declaration.
