Bulgarian Fast Start Finance Contribution 2011 - Utilizing Bulgarian Expirience in Monitoring, Reporting and Verification of GHG Emissions required for Participation in the EU Emission Traiding Scheme


Project description
The main aim of the project is to support the implementation process of the EU Directives 2003/87/EC and 2009/29/EC by utilizing Bulgarian expertise and best practices in the field of monitoring, reporting and verification of greenhouse gas emissions as well as emission trading.


Objectives
The main aim of the project is to support the implementation of the European Council Directive 2003/87 and establish a scheme for greenhouse gas emission allowance trading.

Results
It is expected that the project will contribute to achieving national consensus on the actions and measures that need to be undertaken to address the climate change related issues relevant for the country in regards to the EU Emission Trading Scheme.
